5 REASONS WHY EVERY BODY SHOULD BE STRENGTH TRAINING

I don't mind being the one to tell you this but...


If you're not strength training, your doing yourself a disservice. 🫣


Strength training, also called resistance training or weight lifting, has so many benefits and they're all INSANE 🔥


Here are just a few of my fav reasons why I believe that EVERY BODY should be strength training:


😎IT CAN BOOST YOUR MOOD + SELF ESTEEM - exercise in general promotes the release of mood-boosting endorphins which play a role in a positive mood but what’s more, multiple studies have shown that strength training may also reduce anxiety.


💪IT CAN HELP SHAPE YOUR BODY - you will not get "bulky". That shit takes serious dedication, hard work and testosterone. However, it *will* enable you to look leaner, and it will give definition to your body which will only enhance your shape.


⚡️IT CAN MAKE YOU STRONGER - ok, who doesn't love to win at arm wrestling... 😂 But seriously, it makes your joints and bones stronger. It also boosts your heart health, brain health and research shows it improves cognitive function.


🔥IT BURNS CALORIES, EFFICIENTLY - strength training helps boost your metabolism in two ways:

1️⃣ building muscle increases your metabolic rate because muscles are more metabolically efficient than fat, allowing you to burn more calories at rest.

2️⃣ your metabolic rate is increased up to 72 hours *after* strength-training which means you’ll be still burning additional calories hours and even days after your workout (I’m not kidding).


🪞IT CAN ELEVATE YOUR BODY IMAGE - strength training can give your self-confidence a maaaajor boost. It gives you the opportunity to overcome challenges, work toward a goal, and appreciate your body’s strength. Research has shown a significant link between strength training and positive body image, including body satisfaction, appearance, and a reduction in anxiety/fear of judgment from other people.


I can't get enough of it and as soon as my clients get started with it, they can't either! 👏
